Spending time with my grandchildren inspired me to become a children's book author. I see how they play. I see what they need to learn. And I see how the adults in their lives provide guidance to them.
As part of my continuous learning, I have taken various children’s book writing courses. I also belong to the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, where I participate in events run by the Canada East and Arizona chapters.
My books are meant to be fun for 4 to 8-year-old children. The books will hopefully be useful to parents, grandparents or caregivers who could use the books as a vehicle to stimulate discussions with young children on important topics. My latest books deal with the subjects of food allergies, childhood asthma, and concussions.
In addition to spending time with my grandchildren and my writing, I enjoy golf, yoga, biking and travel with my wife, Theresa.
